About Zollege

The mission, the network, and the people behind your school

Our Mission

Eliminate reliance on student loans by delivering scalable, debt-free career training for essential, human-centered jobs.

Founded in 2010 in Austin, TX by Dr. Thomas Ince — a dentist who struggled to find well-trained dental assistants and discovered they were often $20,000 in debt just to enter the workforce. Today, Zollege has helped over 20,000 students launch healthcare careers without that burden.

Where it Started

A dentist's frustration became a national mission.

Zollege was founded in 2010 by Dr. Thomas Ince, a dentist who couldn't find well-trained dental assistants for his practice. The candidates he interviewed were poorly prepared and often $20,000 or more in debt from traditional training programs.

He built Zollege as the alternative: a hands-on, debt-free, accelerated path into dental assisting. Today, more than 20,000 graduates have launched their careers through the program.

Where it Grew

The same mission, expanded into medical assisting.

Dr. Ince's brother Ryan Ince, a physician, saw the same problem in medicine: medical assistants were arriving in clinics under-trained and over-burdened with student debt.

Building on the dental assistant program's success, the Ince brothers created the same hands-on, debt-free model for medical assisting. Today, that program has helped over 5,000 students graduate into careers in healthcare.
